The HSBC “Red Hot” Card Campaign 2024 unfolded across summer and winter seasons, unified by a bold, theatrical visual language that reimagined historical heroes as modern champions of consumer rewards.

In the summer “Red Hot Festival” campaign, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Liu Bei took centre stage in a grand banquet hall framed by intricate dragon and phoenix motifs. The vivid imagery portrayed these legendary warriors wielding HSBC credit cards as their weapons of choice—symbols of power and readiness in navigating today’s financial challenges.

The winter “Red Hot Winter Rewards” campaign carried the narrative forward with Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Huang Zhong, and ZhuGe Liang, set in a celebratory golden glow. Surrounded by festive confetti and warmth, the characters embodied triumph and joy, their cards raised as victorious tokens of holiday savings. Together, the two campaigns combined heritage and modernity, amplifying HSBC’s promise of exceptional value with visuals that resonated across culture, season, and story.
